Well, I guess this proves it. I suck at blogging. In my defense, we've had a pretty crazy couple of months. I just re-visited The Desert Olive myself for the first time in 2-3 months, and I honestly can't remember writing that last post about our anniversary! Here are a few highlights from the past couple of months:
1. Liana Liu Photography's business skyrocketed thanks to many kind referrals and of course Facebook. It's such an awesome (and FREE!) way to publicize my works. Here's a link if you're interested: https://www.facebook.com/lianaliuphotography If you're not ready to get lost in Facebook yet, I'll post some of my favorites at the end.
2. We moved!!! Before and after pictures of our little apartment coming soon! And I've confirmed that the fact that I hate packing and unpacking
3. uhh... actually, that's about it. Other than those two things, life has just been adjusting to and exploring our new city. This meaning, many more things to post and write about coming!

Happy anniversary to my most important person
Today is our second wedding anniversary. As typical as this sounds, I can't believe how quickly time as gone by. I had all the feels when looking back through our wedding photos. Here are a few of my favorites. Photo cred: Kelly Rashka Photography.

Ombré hair
After having the same hair since high school, took the plunge and went ombré! I know this trend has been around for a while, and might be on the way out, but I still love how it turned out. My stylist did a great job of blending and creating a great gradient from my natural dark brown/auburn hair, through a medium caramel, to a light golden brown. Best part about it, is that it doesn't need any touch ups as it grows out.
I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a stylist who could achieve the look that I wanted in the Old Pueblo, aka Tucson, so I turned to Yelp and found Melissa at Circa 79, a locally owned place with outstanding reviews. I passed on Gadabout because last time I was there, the woman getting her hair done next to me AND HER STYLIST, were talking smack about the fringe that I had just gotten... but I'm totally over it. ;)
Here are the pics :)

Well, there you are!
From looking at my backlogged posts, seems as though the last time I updated we got back from our summer vacation in Europe, and here we are entering spring. I guess that's what happens though; the more things that happen which are blog-worthy, the less time you have to write about them.
In the past few months I decided to launch and small photo business taking portraits. I started by creating a Facebook page and from there, everything just took off! I feel like Deb from Napoleon Dynamite. Here are a few photos from some of my favorite shoots so far:
Today is Sunday, and Galen is at work... again. He's currently doing the first of two months of internal medicine at TMC, which is a pretty hours-intensive schedule, meaning he spends from 10-13 hours a day at the hospital with only one day off at a time. It's really given me a lot of free time on the weekends, so I've been spending many hours doing internet searches on places to live in Boston. Craigslist can be so overwhelming, and from what I hear, listings will get booked within 24 hours of being posted.
I leave in 2 weeks with my friend, Emily, to go hunt for a place over there. I wish Galen could come and help with the decision, but, you guessed it, he has to work. Kevin is also going to ride the bus out from the city and meet me there for the weekend, which should be fun.
Crossing my fingers that I'll find motivation to continue hunting online and that I'll be able to sign a lease on something when I go out there!
